The Mission
Healthy Churches Global, the international ministry of The Malphurs Group, is partnering with Kenyan church leaders to equip the next generation of pastors and denominational leaders with proven frameworks for building disciple-making churches. Over six intensive days, we will train 180+ seminary students and pastors, then multiply our impact by preparing indigenous leaders to continue this work long after we return home.
Our approach addresses the critical challenge that less than 10% of pastors globally have proper training, with 95% of African pastors lacking formal training and leadership resources. Our mission is to empower churches with Biblical leadership resources and frameworks–focused on the Great Commission and healthy discipleship.
Day 1-2 | Foundations Training
Our team will conduct comprehensive training for 80 seminary students and 100 city pastors, covering five essential components of healthy church leadership: The Great Commission (building mission-driven churches), Core Values (establishing biblical foundations), Discipleship Pathways (creating systems for spiritual growth), Vision Casting (leading with clarity and purpose), and Strategic Planning (developing cultures of continuous improvement).
Day 3-4 | Multiplication Training
Our team will equip Rev. Salano and up to four other denominational leaders to lead our Strategic Envisioning process independently, creating a sustainable model for healthy church development throughout Kenya.
Day 5 | Hands-on Application
Rev. Salano will immediately put his training into practice, leading his own church through the Strategic Envisioning process with our team’s support—demonstrating the reproducible nature of this ministry model.
Day 6 | Celebration & Commission
A.J. Mathieu will preach at Rev. Salano’s church, celebrating what God has accomplished and commissioning these leaders for continued impact.
